Obituary of Angel Ramon Rodriguez Hobson

Angel Ramon Rodriguez Hobson,

24, the oldest son of Angelica Rodriguez Hiraldo and Jorge Manuel Hiraldo, was born in Long Island, NY.  After a very brief illness, he left his earthly home to meet his Heavenly Father on October 10, 2023.  His love of family and friends far surpassed any amount of struggles that he faced during his short time here.

As the first born, he was always a Mamma’s boy and stayed close by her side.  Angel was always a very helpful young man.  He would do anything mom and dad would ask of him from picking up around the house to cleaning the yard while they were at work.  Perhaps he did this because he knew they would all be sitting around a bonfire later as long as he cleaned up the limbs on the ground. You see, Angel would sit by a fire in any type of weather.  It didn’t matter to him if it was hot or cold outside, there was gonna be a fire!

The backyard gatherings usually brought family and friends closer and that was one of the things that Angel loved the most.  One of the highlights for him when family celebrated together was the food.  Angel loved to eat.. ANYTHING! Some of his favorite foods were desserts.  He liked custard dishes and apple pies, but would eat pretty much whatever was offered to him.

He enjoyed hanging with his brothers playing video games… particularly Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.  He and Victor would spend hours upon end on the basketball courts together.   You could always be assured that after a rigorous game of hoops, he would insist on a cold Dr. Pepper as this was his absolute favorite drink! Angel and Elijah did the baking in the house and boy did they bake!  They would make cookies, brownies, cakes and all sorts of things that made the house smell so yummy!

Sweet Angel is survived by his mother and father, Angie and Jorge Manuel Hiraldo, his brothers, Victor (Maryann) and Elijah; his grandparents Jose Ramon Rodriguez and Elizabeth “Lita” Benitez ; Jorge and Olga Hiraldo as well as his “best” cousin George Benitez.  Not to forget the many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved, adored, supported and prayed for Angel.

After some very tough struggles in life, Angel was able to find a clear space and write out some of his feelings. This is just one quote that resonates with his family and friends that will miss him so very much.

“Stay focused! Spend time with your family.  There is nothing or nobody more important than your family.  Don’t ever put anything before them. Care and love them as God has for you!” ~Angel
