Obituary of Cook M. Waldran

Cook M. Waldran, 83, of Ocala, Florida passed away October 10, 2023, at Hampton Manor Belleview, Belleview, Florida. He was the husband of Mois Waldran for 64 years. Cook was born in Mobile, Alabama, a son of the late Cook and Katherine Waldran. Prior to his retirement he was a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army serving for over 30 years. He was a pilot in the Army. He served in Vietnam, flew a Mohawk OV-1, and was an Artillery Officer. He spent time in Germany. While in the Army he received: Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Vietnam Service Medal (3 awards), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Overseas Ribbon, and Army Service Ribbon. He would fly acrobatics while he lived in the Leeward Air Ranch, Ocala, FL. Cook is survived by his wife, Mois Waldran of Ocala, FL and son, Mitchell Allen Waldran and his wife Jennifer of Athens, AL and his grandson, Mitchell John Waldran and granddaughter, Mackenzie Jean Waldran.
