Obituary of Charlotte Martha Lazzara

Charlotte Lazzara, 92, of Ocala, FL, passed away on January 4, 2023. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 19, 1930, to Fred and Charlotte Wubbenhorst. She married the love of her life, Joseph Lazzara, in 1950. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, her three children, Marlene (Michael Landauer), Laura (Tim Magnusson), and Joseph (Karen); her 8 grandchildren, Kristin, Dan, Gina, Leianne, Lauren, Tony, Chad and Janell; and her five great-grandchildren.

Charlotte worked as a school secretary, and in her free time enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and sewing.  Charlotte and Joe were avid square dancers.  Charlotte also enjoyed spending summers at their log cabin in Michigan, gardening and swimming. Charlotte faithfully attended mass, and enjoyed being an active member of her community choir. She will be missed by all, but is now in the hands of our Lord.

The viewing will be held at Hiers-Baxley Timber Ridge, 9695 SW 110th St, Ocala, FL 34481, on Thursday, January 12th from 3-5, with prayer service at 5.

The funeral mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 SW State Rd 200, Ocala, FL 34476, on Friday, January 13^th at 8:30 am.

Burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102^nd Ave., Bushnell, Florida, on Friday, January 13th at 1:30 PM.
