Obituary of James Garvan Oxford

James Garvan Oxford, 61, of Ocala passed away on October 7, 2016 at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park. Jimmy was a native of High Springs, Florida and was a lifetime member of the Ocala community. He enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, taking care of his plants, was an avid Star Trek fan, and was a Florida Gator fan. Survivors include his wife Janeen Oxford; daughters, Polly (Roy) Streicher, Dari (Mike) Jarrell; brother George Oxford; grandchildren Sarah, Kaleigh, Jacob, Chris, and Rachel. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Marie (Kitty) Oxford, and his brother Rick Oxford. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala.
