Obituary of Lt. Col. Damon Baughn Boston

Lt Col Damon Baughn Boston passed away on November 17th, 2021 while surrounded by his family.  

Damon was born on November 30th, 1958 in Anderson, Indiana. From a young age, he was an avid baseball fan and loved to play the drums.  Damon attended Anderson High School and the University of Wisconsin, where he was a member of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps.  He graduated from Purdue University. He joined the Air National Guard in 1981 and served until his retirement in 2004.  Damon was a navigator on KC-135 refueling planes, served as Maintenance Squadron Commander and loved traveling the world.  After retirement, he moved to North Carolina, where he enjoyed golf, teaching music to several high school bands, and going on cruises with his wife.  He subsequently moved to Texas and then Florida, making many friends along the way.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Macie Boston; he is survived by his wife of 43 years Diane, son and daughter-in-law Dan & Maralee Boston and their four children (Milwaukee, WI), and his daughter Katie Murphy (Savannah, GA)
