Obituary of Warren E. Daniels

Mr. Warren E. Daniels passed away on May 17, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ray (Wilson) Daniels, their son John Paul Daniels and his wife Berry Dee (Roland) Daniels, their daughter Lisa Camille (Daniels) George and her husband Dennis Edward George, his daughter-in-law Janet Marie (Snell) Daniels, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. His son, Warren E. Daniels Jr., preceded him in death.

Born to Edward Chester and Freda Elizabeth (Mayer) Daniels in Bradenton, Florida, on October 29, 1926, he moved with his family to Sanford, FL, where he graduated from Seminole High. He later joined the Navy, where he graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in civil engineering. Following graduation, he served in the Pacific following WWII.

Warren began work as a project engineer for Ebasco in Lumberton, NC, where he met and married his wife, Bonnie. He then worked for Bechtel, moving the family around the United States for several years while supervising the construction of a variety of steel mills and power plants. To continue at Bechtel required him to move the family to San Francisco, CA, and to fly around the country during the week; he wouldn’t do this, and so he moved the family to Miami, Florida, where he started his construction contracting business. After many years, he and Bonnie retired to Weirsdale, FL, where they built a home on Lake Weir.

Warren was a lifelong Rotarian, and a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala.
