Troy Setty

Obituary of Troy Setty

Troy Setty, 52, of Terre Haute, Indiana went to be with our Lord on February 10th 2021.

Troy was born in Terre Haute Indiana to mother Debra Kay Schlabach and father Andrew Setty on August 25, 1968. He had one sister and one brother. He attended Vanguard High School in Ocala, Fl. and earned his diploma equivalency. In May of 1996 he found a best friend... and the love of his life, Claudia Martin. They were happily wed On August 6, 2005. They have a love that could outlast any conflict and a love that conquers all time.

Troy is famous for his playful character. He could "get ya" without you looking. He never missed an opportunity, to make you laugh and cause you to join in on the fun. That ornery side of him, is like none other. You knew something was up when he smiled that half a smile and he gave you "that look", you knew you better be on your guard. Jokes, aside, Troy didn't play around when it came to being there for his family. It didn't matter if it was something small or something that would take hours, you knew if you needed him, simply ask and he would be there, without hesitation or questions. He Loves his Grandchildren with ALL of his heart and was patiently awaiting the arrival of his great granddaughter Paisley, just a few weeks away. Troy couldn't ever get enough time with his kids or grand kids, they were his whole world. He loved them if they liked it or not. It didn't matter if they were out doing something special or just home hanging out , watching tv, or playing games. He was a very Proud "Poppy". Troy left an impression on his kids and grandkids' hearts, that will never fade. He was a Devoted Husband & Grandfather.

Troy had several occupations throughout his life. He was a surveyor for over a decade 1990s-2005 at several companies, one of which was Morehead Engineering in the Ocala area. He also was an electrician for many years which led him into his current profession as an exclusive handyman providing skilled maintenance, plumbing, electrical, repairs & remodeling, for a large local Real Estate Property Manager. He also currently worked as a farm hand. He loved seeing and caring for each of the animals. All sizes and all breeds. They were ALL special to him. He took time with each one. Troy was known by Everyone as the Cat Whisperer. He spoke their language and they responded as such. He just had a special way with them. He would tell you his name was Cat-man-doo He wanted to help every single one that came along, no matter what condition they were in, when he found them. He is Loved and Dearly Missed.
