Obituary of Mary I. Grey

Mary I. Grey, 83 of Summerfield, FL passed away peacefully on September 19, 2020 after a long illness.  Mary was a native of Hyattsville, Maryland who has called Florida home for the past 41 years. 

Mary loved to work in her yard, visiting yard sales and spending time with her family.  She was a strong, lovable and forgiving woman who could make the best fried chicken. She always helped those in need and worked hard at any task she took on.  She had a compassion for animals and enjoyed watching her cats play on the porch. She was a friend to many but her most cherished titles were Mom and Grandmom (or Grandmother). 

Mary is survived by Five daughters; Barbara Stone of Jacksonville, AL (Bruce, husband),  Brenda Crisci of Ocala, FL,  Belinda Allwang of Ocean City, Maryland (Danny, husband), Cathy Trychta of Summerfield, FL, Barbara Grey of LaCross, WI , One Son; Walter J. Grey, Jr of Surfside Beach, SC (Dawn wife),  14, grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Grey, Sr. and her daughter Beatra W. Longerbeam (Willie).

Arrangements entrusted to Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview, FL. Interment will be private at the Florida National Cemetery. Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com.
