Obituary of Douglas Lee Prevatte

Douglas Lee Prevatte (Doug) 80, of Ocala, FL. Formerly of Vero Beach, FL. Passed away on June 14, 2020 at his residence.

Doug served in the Army for 6 years and served in Viet Nam from 1965 – 1966.Doug spent many years in sales industry including Pepsi Cola, Deer Park Water and ending his career as a sales manager at Silver Springs Bottle Water in Ocala, FL. He is a long standing member of the Morning Star Lodge of Silver Springs and a member of the Community Bible Church of Ocala. Doug was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed golf, camping and fishing. He was quite the jokester and never met a stranger.

Doug is preceded in death by his father Douglas L. Prevatte, Sr. and his mother Sadie Raye Prevatte. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Sandie Prevatte of Ocala, FL sons Douglas L. Prevatte III and Danny Prevatte, daughter Tammy Hinson and her husband Eric of Wilmington, NC, son Michael Shawn Prevatte and his wife Laura of Ocala, FL., daughter Melissa Laurie and her husband Scott of Ocklawaha, Fl., sister Sandra P West and her husband Jim, brother in law Steve Holter and sister in law Chris Holter. 7 grandchildren Amanda, Bryan, Sidney, Shawn, Danielle, Britteny, Christian, 3 great grandchildren Aiden, Addison and Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family is going to have a celebration of life service for Doug at  the Highlands Baptist Church, 3530 E. Fort King Street, Ocala, FL 34470 on Thursday, July 2^nd at 6:00 pm, all are welcome to attend and celebrate and share with the family.
