Obituary of Anthony “Tony” Hartmann

Anthony “Tony” Hartmann, 83 passed away peacefully April 24, 2020.  Born and raised in Rochester, New York to the late Walter J. and Elma S. Hartmann, and predeceased by brother Walter and grandson Ryan Anthony Galliger.  Tony graduated from Brighton High School and worked as a Civil Engineer overseeing several major construction projects in the Rochester area for Kodak, Xerox, Wegmans and the airport.     

Poppy was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was at his best when he was spending time with family and friends.  He was an avid hunter, golfer, gardener, and dog lover.

Tony is survived by his wife Barbara of 59 years, and three daughters Dana Van Alstyne (Gregg) of Kinderhook, NY, Debbie Galliger (Greg) of Fairfax Station, VA, and Heidi Galanti (Steve) of High Point, NC, and seven grandchildren Jason, Jessica, Morgan, Laura, Erica, Luykas, and Jennifer. 

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association at act.alz.org.
