I met Larry in 1993 when I started working at NCMIC. He was a great mentor, leader and friend who touched the lives of so many, including myself. He truly cared about his employees and I personally learned a great deal from him. I am very grateful and proud to have had the opportunity to work for Larry, learn from Larry and call him my friend. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Sue, Mike, Nick and Jake, please know that my thoughts and my prayers are with you.

Larry was a great mentor to so many people, including myself. He was a visionary at NCMIC. He had the unusual ability to make the workplace a fun and thriving environment for all. Maybe that was because he always put the employees first, because he knew that if he did, the success of the company would follow--a rare trait in a leader, I think. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Larry was a wonderful man in so many ways.

I was Larry's last hire as he transitioned away from NCMIC and I certainly enjoyed my time with him. I found him to be one of those rare people who had a great deal of wisdom and was able to share it in a common sense fashion. I have taken many of the lessons he taught me as I have moved forward in my career. I am a better person for knowing Larry.

Larry was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Larry when he was working at NCMIC. After having lunch with him as a newly licensed chiropractor, I remember leaving thinking how nice and genuine of a man he was. He was all of that and more. Please accept my deepest of sympathy with his passing.

I will never forget you. I will always remember seeing you outside putting around the yard. And when you and I would be out there putting around I would come over and we would talk about our yards, trying to make our lawn look better.
The most I will miss seeing is you heading out in your golf cart to either going to pick up some groceries or going out on one of your excursions. And then late afternoon I always knew when it was time to get the mail, because there goes Larry going to get his mail. I'm going to miss you.
Your true friend and next door neighbor.
PS hope they have good Jambalaya for you

I remember Larry as a great leader who cared about his "family" at NCMIC. One of my favorite memories of Larry is for some reason, (I don't remember why) he let myself and a co-worker drive his Lincoln Town Car to a meeting to downtown Des Moines. Before returning the car to Larry we added some decorative plush hanging dice to his rear view mirror. He thought it was hilarious and we were grateful he found it funny!
Condolences to the family and wishing you peace during this time of grieving.
