Celebration of life
Dear James family,
I am very sorry for your loss. A scripture that encouraged me very much when I have lost loved ones in death is John 5:28,29. It says "Do not be amazed at this for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
Dear Debbie and family, please accept our deepest condolences on your loss of Steve. Jerry and I enjoyed working with him for many years at DOT. Now though, please reflect on the Bible's comforting message that soon sickness, pain and death will be no more (Revelation 21:4, 1 Corinthians 15:26) May the God of all comfort bring you peace and endurance at this time (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Soon, as Jesus promised when on earth, we are promised a resurrection of our loved ones (John 5:28-29). We are keeping you in thought and prayer. Sincerely, Carol & Jerry Santana
Steve was indeed a major influence in my life. I will always remember how happy he was to retire and spend time with his family. He was a gentle soul and I missed him when he retired but I know he is now resting in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.
Steve was a wonderful friend to me for over 45 years. He left this world far too early, but it is comforting to me personally that he loved and believed in the Lord Jesus with all his heart...and with all of his soul.
The suffering has ended; Steve is finally wrapped in the loving arms of our Savior, Lord Jesus. Steve knew that was his final destination, and he was ready.
So many cherished memories of good times I’ve had with Steve, who I lovingly called the “Teflon Don”. He was a friend to me and a huge, positive inspiration in my life. I’ll never forget him.
May God bless his family, Debbie, kids, and relatives for taking of care of him with dignity and love in his last days.
Steve loved each and every one of you with all his heart. He told me so!
