Obituary of Deborah Ann Bockhold

Deborah Ann Bockhold, 65, of Ocala, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018.  She was born in Fort Knox, KY to the late Roy and Ruth Geho.  After graduation from North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Kentucky and graduating from both Apollo College & Maricopa Tech College School of Nursing in Phoenix, Arizona she enjoyed working as a nurse until becoming a mother.  After meeting her husband George and settling in Birmingham, AL, she devoted her time to family and church.   After her son graduated from high school, she also returned to work as an administrative assistant and sectary.  Deborah and George moved to Ocala in 2010 from Birmingham.

 

Once in Ocala Deborah found great joy in service as a Verger at Grace Episcopal Church in Ocala, and also served as the Acolyte Director until 2015.  She enjoyed sailing, dining out, good wine, and was a passionate Alabama football fan.  She mostly cherished her church worship, family, friends, her dogs “Sophie” and “Ella” and cat “Baby”.

 

Deborah is survived by her husband George Bockhold of Ocala, her daughter Holly (Tony) Williams of Atlanta, GA, her sons Geep (Tina) Bockhold of Savannah, GA and Brett Dannemiller of Decatur, AL, her granddaughters Christie (Kevin) Buice, Katie Williams, and Karlie Williams Behlmann all of Atlanta, Victoria Bockhold of Savannah, and Maralee Dannemiller of Anderson, AL, and her grandsons C.J. Bockhold of Savannah and Everett Dannemiller of Anderson, AL, and her great-grandchildren  Nathan, Aiden, Keith, Courtney, and Noah. She was preceded in death by her sister Kay Lynch.

Arrangements and contacts are being handled by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL  34470, (352)-629-7171.  On Saturday, December 15th at 11 AM, a memorial service for Deb will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 503 SE Broadway St, Ocala, FL 34471.
