Obituary of Joseph Brown

Joseph Brown was born in Boston, MA to George E. Brown and Katherine Merry Brown. He was the youngest of nine siblings with four brothers and four sisters.

 

He joined the US Navy shortly after graduating high school and served proudly aboard the USS Albany.

 

Soon after being honorably discharged, he met Carol Ricupero who would become his wife of more than 60 years. Together they had three children: Joseph, Serena, and Carissa.

 

He worked many years for Eastern Airlines and his career there brought the family to Melbourne.  They enjoyed traveling together whenever possible.

 

His hobbies included creating stained glass art, caring for bonsai trees, growing pineapples, and watching his beloved New England Patriots. He was an original season ticket holder for the (then Boston) Patriots and was a fan of the Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics as well.

 

Following his retirement, Joe and Carol enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren.

 

He is survived by his wife, three children, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother, and many nieces and nephews.
