I wanted to share a few memories from long ago that came flooding to me once hearing of his passing....working in the yard, we raked all the leaves, loaded in Larry's truck and brought to the dump...I think I remember it so well because it was just him and I...which, in our family with so many kiddos, that never happened! It made me smile! I also always carry the image of him and Grandma coming to our softball games, carrying their lawn chairs...they gave us an awesome cheering section! Grandpa, you are special to so many and I am so thankful for you! I know you and others are rejoicing together once again. We love you!

My precious grandpa! I’ll carry the traits that made you a heroic man, I’ll keep the values that consumed your character, I’ll respect the traditions you set before me and carry them out for your great grandchildren. I’ll hold the memories we shared near and dear to my heart and never forget the impact you made on my life. When someone asks me who’s the one of greatest men you’ve ever known I’ll speak of you. I find comfort in imagining you and grandma dancing in heaven, bowling a great game and walking your neighborhood hand in hand. I loved you then, I love you now, I always will.

Uncle Don was a Very Special Uncle!!
Whenever we got to visit during my growing up years, I was intrigued by his strong military-sounding voice, his hearty laugh & his pipe!!
Without a doubt, being around his family you could tell he loved them dearly & expected their respect as well as from others. Uncle Don was truly a gentle, loving & kind Uncle!!
He will surely be missed, but, he couldn’t be happier, for he is with Aunt Lois & His Heavenly Father!!! Love & Prayers to Donna, Debbie & Larry & to your families!!
