Obituary of Marie C. Green

Marie C. Green, 79 born April 3, 1939 in Two Egg, Florida went to be with the Lord August 5, 2019.

Marie and her husband James K. Green (Ken) owned Goodtime Printing in Ocala until retirement.  She was an active home maker and mother of four daughters. Marie was active in the Women’s Slow Pitch Softball League here in Marion County in the 1970’s, pitching two no hitters for the Handy Andy Team. She volunteered countless hours at her daughters’ schools. Marie was a substitute physical education teacher and a Girl Scout Troop leader. She also spent many Saturdays cheering on her Florida Gators.

Marie was proceeded in death by her parents William J. and Gladys Culver, brothers Sam and Ernest Culver, sisters Ann Fortson and Della Stokes.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years James Kenneth Green, Daughters Barbara Bolling (Rick), Lisa Harrell (Tom), Kimberly White (Robert) Belinda Rodriguez (Peter) grandchildren Rickey, Megan, Alexis, Kenny, Lindsey, Grace, Robert III, Alex and Katie and four great grandchildren. Sisters Alice Evans, Frances Cloud, Emily Baily (twin), Hazel Hollis and brother Robert Culver.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 11 at Hiers - Baxley Funeral Services Chapel - 910 E. Silver Springs Boulevard.

The family will be receiving visitors beginning at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Marie’s life at 1:00 pm
