James O. Doblosky, Sr. died peacefully on July 30, 2018, in The Villages, Florida, at the age of 79.
Jim was born on March 25, 1939 in Dover, NJ, to the late Henry and Mabel (neé McCroy) Doblosky. He was a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in Engineering. After years of working in the Engineering field, and owning his own limousine company, he happily retired to The Villages, Florida. He became an active member of New Covenant United Methodist Church where he served faithfully as a leader of the Hospitality Ministry and a men’s small group Bible study. You could usually find him on the golf course enjoying his favorite pastime. He was a devoted family man who always imparted, “Don’t sweat the small stuff. And remember, everything is small stuff.” His smile and his joy for life will be greatly missed.
His life will be forever remembered in the lives of his family: His wife, Margaret, brothers Jack and Pete Doblosky, sister Linda DiTaranto, his five children, Pamela, James Jr., Debbie, Michael and Robert, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Henry “Hank”, Jr.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 4, 2018, 10am at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL with Rev. Marilyn Anell officiating.
