Obituary of Richard John Stanton

Richard John Stanton mercifully passed away on March 21, 2024, in Crystal River, Florida at the age of 85. He was born May 29,1938, to Wiliam John Stanton and Eleanor Mullins in Fallsington, PA. Richard was an Army Veteran who worked as a carpenter after his honorable discharge from the service. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and woodworking. He was regularly active in his church spending his days volunteering in his community and taking several missionary trips to Hati. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Eleanor and his siblings Walt, Elizabeth, Phyllis, Dolores, Edith, Pat, Paul, Bill, and Jerry. He is survived by brothers Frank, Jimmy, and sister Thelma. His children Bill, Virginia, Ken, and Richard and grandchildren Dokota, Baylor, Penn, Natalie, Justin, Matthew, and Chad. Friends and family are invited to attend his viewing at 9:30AM and service 1030Am at Hiers Baxley Funeral Home (5946 SE. Robinson Rd., Belleview, FL 34420) on Friday, March 29th, 2024. Military Honors will be at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30PM in Bushnell, Florida. A gathering will take place afterwards at Kenneth and Dawns.
