Obituary of Jeffrey Martin DeLong

Jeffrey Martin DeLong, Jr., 28, of Clermont, Florida passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 after a tragic motorcycle accident in Micanopy, FL.

Jeff was born on September 7, 1989 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and grew up in Trenton, Florida a son of the late Jeffrey Martin DeLong and Michelle Barrus and her husband Gary.  He attended the Alive Church, Gainesville, FL.  He was a loving son who brought joy to all.

Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Michelle Barrus and her husband Gary of Lady Lake, FL, sisters, Laura DeLong of Lady Lake, FL and Jennifer DeLong of Orlando, FL.  He is also survived by grandparents, Dona DeLong; Terry and Terrence  Young of Ocklawaha, FL, nieces, Rowan  Kelley of  Lady Lake, FL and Lillian Barrett of  Lady Lake, FL. He also leaves behind a fiancé, Alaina Johnson and her sons Brantley and Tucker of Hawthorne, FL. He was also preceded in death by Grandfather, Frederick DeLong.

The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34420 on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Alive Church, 5805 NW 37th St., Gainesville, FL 32653. The Committal service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 2:30 PM at the Belleview Cemetery, 6251 SE Robinson Rd, Belleview, FL 34420.
