Bob Cherry was my 1st Sergeant in A/1/15 Infantry in 1977 at Harvey Barracks, Kitzingen. He was an outstanding 1st Sergeant and leader. I still have a great admiration for him. My condolences on his passing.

Our deepest condolences Marianne on the passing of Bob. The world is a better place in all aspects for all that had the honor of knowing and sharing Bob’s memories especially during his assignments in Special Forces. My most cherished memories was in Panama when we were part of the”Over the hill gang” our nickname for our team. The second was when he joined our Florida SFA Chapter in Florida, Chapter XXI SFA. He was always that ray of sunshine with his smile and enjoyed life to the fullest.Rest In Peace Bob as you join those in the heavens above that have gone before you. ,”Old soldiers never die as they just fade away to pthe heavens above.”

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Bob. I first met Bob in the early 70s in Panama. Bob was on my special forces team A-11, Company C, 3rd Battalion, 7th special forces group. I am sorry I am on able to attend his service.
I have a few old black-and-white photos of Bob during that time. If anyone is interested email me and I will send them to you.

Bob was my friend in addition to be my mentor on our A-Team many years ago. One great example of what a good man can and should be for his loving wife of so many years. Bob will remain with all of us that knew him for the rest of our days!
