Obituary of Robert McCoy

McCOY, ROBERT RANDALL Ocala - Robert Randall McCoy, 21, passed away on Nov. 1, 2008 due to a tragic car accident. Rob was born and raised in Ocala and graduated from Forest High School in 2005. He was a talented athlete and a member of the Varsity Soccer Team. He was currently enrolled in Santa Fe Community College studying Business Administration and had recently earned his certification to be a personal trainer. Rob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He touched many lives in his short time here and will continue to touch those who loved him. He is survived by his loving parents, Randy and LuAnn McCoy of Ocala, sisters, Jennifer(Tylus) Chatterton of Ocala and Laura McCoy of Boynton Beach, grandparents, Russell and Marijean Brown of Ocala, aunt and uncle, Lee and Sheri Weekes of Boynton Beach, cousin, Marisa Weekes of Boynton Beach, girlfriend, Sabrina Shields of Citra and many other special lifelong friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 from 5-7 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Boy's and Girl's Clubs of Marion County.
