Obituary of Barbara Cole

Cole, Barbara Silver Springs - Barbara Cole, 78, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala. Born in Herrin, Illinois, she moved to Silver Springs in 1986 from New Milford, PA. Mrs. Cole retired from New York Telephone Company after 26 years of service. Mrs. Cole was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was the past President of Lindale Home Owners Association, served on the State Board of Directors for the Federation of Manufactured Home Owners of Florida, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 4209. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Fred Cole, Jr. of Silver Springs; son Lawrence E. Blair of Greensburg, PA; daughters Nancy B. Sydlosky of Syracuse, NY, Lynda J. Davis of Great Bend, PA; three step-daughters; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Silver Springs, 5151 NE 35th St, Silver Springs.
