Obituary of Susan Strong

Susan Elizabeth Strong Susan Elizabeth Strong, 46, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Born August 23, 1962, Susan resided in Ocala, Florida for the past 10 years; living and working at the family farm. "Sue" attended Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami, Miami Country Day School, and prep school in Massachusetts. She was a member of her high school varsity tennis team. Sue had a lifelong love of animals and was an equestrienne since the age of 5. She competed in hunter jumper horse shows throughout the United States including Madison Square Garden, NYC; Houston, TX; The Hamptons, NY; Blowing Rock, NC; Middleburg, VA; and Ocala, FL. Sue was a member of Golden Ocala Country Club, played tennis and was pursuing golf. She had a great love of life, her family and friends. She was very close to her teammates on the country club tennis team and spent countless hours enjoying their company and their wonderful loving relationship. Susan is survived by her loving mother, Jane Cundy, and stepfather, Thomas C. Cundy of Miami Beach, Florida; her stepbrothers, Thomas C. Cundy, Jr. (Beth), John Patrick Cundy (Michelle), and David L. Cundy (Julie); and their children, Kelly and Thomas C. Cundy, III of Fort Lauderdale; Chase and Connor Cundy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Holly and Katherine Cundy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Sue was very close to all of the children, who had a deep love and respect for her and cherished their visits with Sue at the farm. She was their hero. A memorial service is being planned; the date and time to be announced.
