Obituary of Edith Batten

Edith Rose Batten, age 78, of Ocala, FL passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 11, 1930. Edith meet and married Joe Batten, Jr and they were married for over 40 years. Together they raised two daughters and two sons. Over the course of their marriage they travelled the globe during her husband's military career of over 20 years. She has lived in Florida since 1963. Edith was a Catholic. Her hobbies included dancing, ice skating, roller skating, catalog shopping and taking care of her family. She is survived by a daughter Diana Havener; son Joe Michael Batten; son Steven Batten; daughter Carol Batten; sister Agnes Guynes; grandchildren Alicia, Dana, Brian, Jennifer, Melissa, Jason and Casey. Great grandchildren Nolan, Austin, Garrett, Dylan and Chaise.
