Obituary of Lars Larsen

Lars Larsen, 87, passed away at Legacy House on February 8, 2009. Mr. Larsen was born in Staten Island, NY and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL then to Ocala in 1977. Mr. Larsen is a veteran of the Army serving during WWII. He is a past member of the Moose Lodge of Ft. Lauderdale. He also enjoyed fishing and dancing. Mr. Larsen is survived by his wife of 62 years, Florence Larsen, of Ocala; one sister, Betty Cote of Ocala; one brother, Norman Larsen of Ocala; four grandchildren, Renee, Robert, Tracy, and Karen; and three great-grandchildren, Shayne, Amanda, and Cameron. Mr. Larsen is predeceased by two daughters, Lynn Geiger (2008) and Janet Shapiro (1998). A memorial service will be Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala with Chaplain Cindy Livering officiating.
