Obituary of John Murphy

MURPHY, SR., JOHN MICHAEL Ocala - John Michael Murphy, Sr., 89, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009. He was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Ocala from Royal Oak, MI in 1984. He was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, McCullough-Mixson VFW Post No. 4209 and Knights of Columbus, Council 5960 all of Ocala. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corps. His survivors include his wife, Eldean of Ocala, his daughters, Pat Reeder and Kathy Kash, both of Ocala, Lynn McPhee of Clawson, MI, Diane Hessler of Milford, MI and Maureen Love of Troy, MI, his sons, Nick Murphy and John M. Murphy, Jr. both of Ocala and Tim Murphy of Rochester, MI, his twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery.
