Obituary of Lester P. Jones

Lester 'Les' P. Jones of Trenton passed away May 30, 2009 at his home. Born in Britton, SD he moved to this area from Riverview, FL in 1984. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 30 years as a sheet metal worker and supervisor from Riley Construction. He was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Trenton. Mr. Jones was member of Masonic Lodge #46, also a Shriner with Suwannee River Shrine Club and a member of Easter Star #251. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a foster parent. He is survived by his wife, Anna Jones of Trenton, his daughters, Vicki (Victor) DeRocco of Williston, Faith Hines of Ruskin, FL, his sons, Brian (Becky) Jones of Kansas City, MO, Todd (Renee) Jones of Summerville, SC, Kurt (Karen) Jones of Prairieville, LA, Alan (Lisa) Davis of Trenton and daughter Karen (Huey) Hersey of Melrose, FL. Brothers, Donald Jones, Norb Fisher & Butch Fisher, all of Minnesota, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Harriet, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and his parents. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church in Trenton with Pastors Jake Cravey and Danny Roberts officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
