Obituary of Ola Pauline Smith

Ola Pauline "Polly" Smith, 84 of Ocala, FL passed away on Sat, Jan 21st at MRMC. Polly was born in West, MS was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BS in nursing. Her professional life included senior nursing positions in civilian hospitals as well as serving as a medical officer "nursing" in the US Air Force. During her time in the Air Force, she met her love Col. George K. Smith and married. In 1971, the family moved to Ocala, where she raised her family and was a mother to all who entered her home. Polly is survived by her 3 sons- Kitch (MaryLyn) Smith of Flemming Island, FL, David (Wendy) Smith of Titusville, FL, Keith (Daphne) Smith of Lovettsville, Virginia; brother- Floyd Phillips; sister-Becky and 6 grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, Jan 27th at 12:30 pm at the Florida National Cemetery with military honors.
