Geisler 99 of Del Webb Spruce Creek Country Club was born on May 30, 1923, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania and passed away on November 30, 2022, in The Villages, Florida. He attended St. Mary’s school and Conley High School. He went into the Army March 4, 1943, through January 25, 1946. James attended Finance school at Wake Forest and the Citadel, the West Point of the South. He served in Pacific and European theaters and received 3 Bronze Service Stars. James started working at Graybar Electric Company in Boston, Massachusetts and retired as a Promotion Manager in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and of the Singles Club and the Veterans Club at Del Webb as well as being a very devote and active member of this parish community as a Eucharistic minister for over 27 years both in St. Louis and Florida. He was president of the church council twice and head of the Liturgy committee for a number of years at St. Mathias in St. Louis. After he moved to Florida, he became an Altar Server at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church before attending St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Belleview. James also enjoyed several hobbies including Woodworking, Cooking, paint by numbers, and especially his computer. James is predeceased in death by his beloved wife of twenty-nine years Willa who passed away on June 20, 1975, as well as his siblings: Dorothy, Leo, Edward, and Amy. He is survived by his children son James (Randy) Geisler and his wife Carol of Ballwin, Missouri; daughter Christine Downey and her husband Joseph of Plymouth, Massachusetts; daughter Cynthia DiMario and her husband Paul of Salem, New Hampshire; grandchildren: Keith Downey and his wife Katie Scorza of Milford, Massachusetts; Mark Downey and his wife Jessica of Plymouth, Massachusetts; Ryan Downey and his wife Lauren of Middleborough, Massachusetts; Sara Dyer and her husband Ryan of Concord, New Hampshire; and Jessica DiMario of Winter Garden, Florida; great-grandchildren: Oliver Downey and Ada Downey of Middleborough, Massachusetts; Callan Dyer of Concord, New Hampshire; and Bianca Fernando-Negrini of Plymouth, Massachusetts. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, December 30, 2022, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church 11528 US-301, Belleview, FL 34420.
