Anne Keene Jones – “Blessed to be a Blessing”

May 4, 1934 –October 5, 2022

On May 4th,1934, Beverly Anne Keene was born in Tampa, Florida. Anne was the 9th child for Annie Pearl and George Wallace Keene.

Anne was an excellent student and after high school she met and married Joseph Watkins Jones on December 24, 1952. Together they started a family while Joseph continued his education. During those years Anne used her talents in her home and walking in her faith. She became involved in and contributed to many Christian congregations while raising her four children: Kim, Carrie, Kevin, and Laura. Anne provided constant, loving support that guided her family as each of them began their journey through life.

After her children were grown, Anne worked in the banking industry and when the right opportunity presented itself, she moved to provide care to disadvantaged children in Landrum, SC. During this time, she discovered she had an eye for old homes that needed special attention and was an excellent decorator and renovator. She often gave and shared ideas with her daughters and daughter-in-law.

Everyone who knew Anne understood that her goal was to be with Jesus and witness to those in need. Anne was a theologian concerning the Bible. She knew it inside and out and spread the word of God in her own way. Her conversations always included topics of the Bible and she lived her faith. She loved lively debate with her fellow members during Bible Studies, but her favorite audience was her children and grandchildren. She kept a dialogue about Jesus with them throughout the years and was a glowing example of exceeding joy through Jesus Christ.

All of us who have been blessed by Mom’s faith throughout our lives miss her dearly. Even so, we know without a doubt, that she ran to Jesus and is in His house of many rooms.

Anne is survived by her children: Stephanie Kim Jaudon (Greg Jaudon); Carrie Anne Jones; Kevin Joseph Jones (Julie Jones); Laura Jones Anwar (Mian Anwar). Her grandchildren: Jennifer Anne Miller; Catherine Elizabeth Garber; Laura Catherine Jones; Adam Nile Anwar; and Camille Erin Jones. Her great-grandchildren: Graeme Jaudon Miller; Elizabeth Anne Garber.

A celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel 9695 SW 110 Street, Ocala, Florida 34481.
