Obituary of Bryce Iain Drummond

Bryce Iain Drummond, 17, of Leesburg, Florida passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, in Lady Lake, Florida. Bryce was a student at Leesburg High School and spent most of his early education at First Academy in Leesburg. He enjoyed playing sports, baseball, track, martial arts and especially basketball. He loved music and songwriting and was a movie buff. Most of all, Bryce loved spending time with his friends and family. He was a peaceful “old soul”, and compassionate, with a brilliant, analytical mind. He was also oftentimes a shy young man until he got to know and love you. Bryce was coming to his own discovery of himself and others, and was a good friend, accepting of others just as they are.

Bryce is survived by his mother, Krista Spagnola (Michael) of Leesburg, father, Jeffery Drummond (Angela Holland) of Wesley Chapel, Florida, brothers, Justin Mitchell and Shane Drummond, both of Tennessee, aunt, Linda Lester and cousins Bella Tejeiro and Dominic Sturdivant. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Audrey and Leonard Lester and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Merryllew Drummond.

A private burial will be held this week. A celebration of Bryce’s life will be held Sunday, May 1 from noon until 3pm at The Venetian Center located at 1 Dozier Circle, Leesburg, Florida.
