Obituary of Clara J. Gates

Mrs. Clara J. Gates of Sanford, Florida, died on Monday, February 21,

2022 at her residence at the age of 88. A native of Portersville,

Pennsylvania, and moved to Belleview, Florida with her husband

Mordant "Marty" Gates in 1987. They came to Florida to retire. She

was a member of Central Baptist Church in Ocala. Marty and Clara

would have celebrated their 69th anniversary this year in June.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Baird (Rob) and her son

Kenneth Gates (Melissa). She was preceded in death by her

husband Marty Gates and her son Larry Gates. Friends will be

received at the cemetery for a service at the Forest Lawn Memory

Gardens on Saturday, February 26th, 2022. The service will start at

10:00 am at the cemetery. The address to Forest Lawn Memory
