Janet Marie Lingle, 72, of Ocala, passed away January 14, 2022.
Janet was born on October 10, 1949 to Leonard and Mary Bauer in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was 1 of 6 children. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1967. She married the love of her life, Mike Lingle in 1971. Mike and Janet had Angie and Michael before moving to Ocala, Florida in 1978.
Janet had three great passions in life. The first was her faith. Her relationship with Christ inspired and permeated everything she did. She and Mike were active in Ocala First Assembly of Ocala for many years. She worked in several areas of ministry and they had an impact with many people that lasts until today.
Janet’s second passion was her family. There was nothing she wouldn’t do her for kids, grandchildren, and extended family. She was always doing something for someone; family, friends, neighbors…she always helped. Even during her illness…up until her last days she just wanted to help with whatever you were doing.
Her third passion was her creativity. Janet’s sense of style and décor were evident in all she did. She turned this into a 30-year career in her own business, Creative Expressions, as a Wedding and Party Planner and Florist. Her creativity could be seen at countless weddings, businesses, and hospitals, especially during the holidays.
Janet was predeceased by her husband Mike, mother Mary, and sister-in-law Jody. Janet is survived by her father, Leonard in Iowa. Her children Angie (husband Steve) and Michael (wife Laurel) and their children Caleb, Jaelin, Leighton, Lindie, and Mahri all of Ocala. Her brothers Jim (Linda), Keith and Stan (Bonnie) and sisters Karen (Dale) and Marlys (Dan) all of Iowa. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Ocala First Assembly Saturday, January 22nd at 11:00 am. A time to visit family will be before the service at 10:00 am at Ocala First Assembly.
