Obituary of Artie Steven Wiley

Artie Wiley, age 80 years old, died unexpectedly On November 27, 2021, in Summerfield, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Marion Wiley, daughter, Elizabeth Wiley and adopted daughter, Melania Smith. He was preceded in death by his daughter Erica Wiley and brothers, Oscar Wiley Jr James Wiley, and sisters- Frankie Smith, Martha Hunt, and Mabel Wiley. He had five children from his first marriage to Annette Wiley, Norwalk, CT. His children are Herman Cole, Sandra Cole, Faye Cole, Artie Wiley and Darold Wiley. His parents were Mary Wiley and Oscar Wiley, Sr. (deceased). Born in Ensley, Alabama on January 23, 1941, he was educated, and worked in Birmingham, Alabama where he spent a considerable amount of his childhood. Later in life he relocated to Connecticut in the 70’s to work. He held several jobs while living in Connecticut; he was a E.M.T. for Norwalk Hospital, Lower Fairfield Center, for the State of Connecticut, Merritt 7, and Martha Steward in Security. Artie leaves behind his Church family which he was a very active member of and grandchildren, Ebony Campbell, Sharaya Smith, Asia Wiley, and Jaylen Wiley; great granddaughter, Nova Holland; many nieces/nephews: Michelle, Glen, Bruno Wiley (Alabama), Veronica Witt (Washington), Dana Long (PA), Dionne Ward, Danielle Gillion (Maryland), Angela, Tashumbae, and Unique Wiley (Alabama), Jeff Swiatowicz, Jenny Feeney (CT), Jill Bonnett (Tennessee). He will be sorely missed in the community.
