Obituary of Opal Roberta Simmons

Opal Roberta Simmons, 76, of Wildwood, Florida passed away on August 12, 2021. She was born May 13, 1945, in the town of Coleman Alabama. She is the daughter of the late Elbert and Susie Eisbell. Opal had called Florida home for more than 57 years. She called Wildwood Fl her home for more than ten years where she was close to her family. Opal enjoyed fishing, family gatherings and time with her family and friends. Opal carried a devoted love for her children, this was her greatest achievement in her life. Opal was loyal to her sisters as well as her family and friends. She had a kind and generous soul. She gave to others by opening her home and always giving to those in need. God made her a strong and independent woman who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She was the true definition of the word mother. She was a doting grandmother and a great grandmother. She had a giving and loving heart that will be greatly missed. Even with the emptiness we feel in our hearts, her acts of kindness, love and memories will never be forgotten, but forever embedded in our lives. God has blessed us by giving us the pleasure and honor to have this woman we call our mother. She was our rock that we could turn to. Mama’s name Opal which is defined as a special and priceless stone also defined her soul. She taught us that his world is hard but also managed to show us the beauty and goodness in it. She made us laugh with her stories and the many adventures she involved us all in. She filled our souls with her laughter. We asked God that her loving spirit be in our thoughts as we continue our journey. May she want for nothing and find forever lasting peace.

We Love you Mama!
