Obituary of Jane Lynette Cox

Jane Lynette Cox, 49, of Belleview, Florida peacefully passed away in her sleep on the morning of July 9, 2021, at The Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, Florida.  She fought courageously to live for many months before God called her home, and now she is resting in peace. We will miss her caring, compassionate spirit, genuine heart, and brave soul dearly. 

 

Jane was born in Miami, Florida to Harvey Chandler Cox and Jane (Aversa) Cox. She was a devoted, proud Mom and is survived by her two beautiful children Brittany Nicole Herndon and Bootin Nicholas Herndon. Motherhood was her greatest joy. She was always a hard worker and enjoyed cooking, vegetable gardening, sailing, music, live concerts and had a love for all animals.

 

Jane is also survived by her mother Jane Elizabeth (Anthony Warlikowski) Aversa; brother Douglas Chandler Cox; sister Elizabeth Rose Cox; half-brother Harvey David (Christiane) Cox; half-sister Dianne Louise Cox; aunt Dianne Carol (Leon) Mason; uncles David Anthony Aversa, James Anthony (Janet) Aversa;  many cousins; nieces; nephews; and paternal grandparents of her children Brenda (Alan) Herndon-Via.

 

Jane was preceded in death by her father; and maternal grandparents Dorothy Coe and Anthony Aversa.

 

Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 30, 2021  12:00 PM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 Southwest State Road 200, Ocala, FL  34476, followed by inurnment at 1:30 PM at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 Northeast 3rd Street, Ocala, FL  34470.

 

Highland Memorial Park will accept flowers in Jane’s name, and family recommends donations may be given to Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House, 17395 Southeast 109th Terrace Road Summerfield, FL  34491, who were so kind to Jane in her final days.  Arrangements entrusted with HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral Services-Belleview, 352-245-2424.  Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.com.
