Obituary of Betty Loper

Betty Loper passed on March 12th, 2021. She was born July 29th, 1927, in Bridgeton, NJ, to Richard and Hadassah Smith. She was the youngest of 4 children. She married Chester Rammel Jr, in 1954. During their years of marriage, she was a bookkeeper for his business, worked for the Cumberland Co. Treasurer’s Office, and raised 5 daughters, Cathy, Carol, Cindy, Cheryl, and Christine. The marriage ended in divorce and a few years later, she met and married Arthur Loper. Upon his retirement, they relocated to Ocala, FL, where she continued to live after his passing. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She treasured in her heart, her Ocala Family of friends. She was a member of St Mark’s United Methodist church.  The family will be having a celebration of life service on Friday, March 19^th at 12:00 noon at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Chapel, 910 Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL with the burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park.
