Obituary of Robert Lynn Hill

Robert Lynn Hill (Bob). Beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend; passed away February 9^th at the age of 76, surrounded by his family after a short illness.  Robert was born in Marion Indiana to Charles and Betty Hill on February 4^th 1945. He was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida where he graduated from Forest Hill School in 1964. He then joined the Navy and served  his country on the USS Lexington. After the Navy, he worked as an IBEW local 323 electrician for 37 years. He met the love of his life Beth Hill when he was 16 years old. Married in 1966, had two children, Robby and Shelly. They spent a total of 60 years together taking care of each other and raising their family. An intensely devoted parent, he never missed an event his children of grandchildren participated in. Bob loved all sports and was a very good athlete in his youth, excelling in basketball and baseball. Later in life he developed a love for golf. He was a great coach of youth sports. He was patient but strict. He truly enjoyed coaching  basketball , baseball , and football. He mostly enjoyed coaching football with his son Robby. We will miss his infectious laugh and his crazy sense of humor.  But mostly, we will miss the love, support, and his wisdom. Although we grieve, we are blessed to have had him in our lives for the amount of time that we did. Preceded in death by his parents, and  brothers  Mick and Pat.  Left  to cherish his memory his loving wife Beth.  Son Robert  Hill and wife Cheryl.  Daughter Shelly Hardy and husband Donnie. Grandchildren  Amber Hardy, Kelly Hill, Thomas Hardy and Bonnie Hardy, Sister Darla multiple nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
