Obituary of Benjamin Franklin Ferrier III

Benjamin “Skip” Franklin Ferrier III, 65, of Summerfield, Florida passed away January 29, 2021 at E.W. & Lucille Cates Hospice House, Ocala, Florida. He was the husband of Laura L. Ferrier for 17 years.

Benjamin, “Skip”, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Benjamin Franklin Ferrier II and Joanne Ferrier. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Prior to his retirement he was an O-T-R Truck Driver and an Automotive Mechanic.

Those who knew Benjamin can attest to his “LOVE” for God, Country, Family, Hot Rods, Drums, and Heavy Metal Music.   His favorite saying and that which he lived by was:  “Family Takes Care of Family”. 

Benjamin is preceded by his son, David Ferrier, and he is survived by his wife, Laura Lynn Ferrier of Summerfield, FL.  Benjamin is also survived by his son Jason Ferrier, daughters Lisa Ferrier and Lauren Ferrier D’ Ambrosio, stepdaughter Kristen McAdams and brothers William “Billy” Ferrier, Bruce Ferrier, and Rod Ferrier.

A Memorial service with Military Honors will be held on Sunday, February  7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at VFW Post 8083, Hwy 441, Belleview, FL.  His final resting place will be at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.  Arrangements entrusted to Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview, FL.
