Obituary of Richard “Dick”  Fishel

Richard “Dick” Fishel, age 79, a loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020 after a long illness.

Dick was born in Youngstown, Ohio.  He graduated from South Broward High School, Hollywood, Florida in 1959 and received his bachelor’s degree at Akron University, along with several professional certifications.  Dick retired after 33 years from Gen Corp (General Tire.)  He was an avid golfer, enjoyed cleaning his cars and had a love for barbecue.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jeanie, daughter Amy (Rich) Pallotta, son Jeff (Vikki) Fishel, and grandchildren.  He leaves many thoughtful, caring friends and health providers.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Hiers-Baxley Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162. Visitation is 2:00pm-3:00pm with the celebration of life service beginning at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) American Cancer Society.
