Obituary of Robert Edward List

Robert Edward List, 80, of Morristown, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at TimberRidge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Ocala. Bob was a native of Sioux City, Iowa and has lived in Florida for many years. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. Bob retired after 29 years of service as an Engineer with Honeywell Aerospace. After retirement, Bob kept his engineering talents very busy by working on anything that had a motor. He spent several years building a custom 1954 Chevrolet pick-up truck that brought him numerous awards at car shows he attended. Bob attended Meadowbrook Church in Ocala. He also performed maintenance work at the church and assisted with any projects that needed to be completed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 13 ½ years Loraine List of Morristown, FL; daughters, Natalie Miller of Neenah, WI, and Denise Re of Ooltewah, TN; son, Bryan List of Treasure Island, FL; granddaughters, Hollan Miller of Appleton, WI, and Emerson Ryan List of Treasure Island, FL; his sister, Daloris Foley of Sioux Falls, SD and many of his close friends.

A funeral service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110^th Street, Ocala beginning at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. A visitation and gathering of family and friends will take place starting at 10:00AM prior to the funeral service. Bob will be interred with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with service beginning at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Bob’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1180, Ocala, Florida 34478.
