Obituary of Robert F. "Doc" Reardon Jr.

Robert F. “Doc” Reardon Jr., 85, of Lady Lake, Florida passed away April 23, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Virginia Reardon for 59 years.

 

Bob was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts was the son of the late Robert and Margaret Reardon. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Corpsman.  Bob spent most of his working life in medical sales and later owned and operated a home medical goods company for several years prior to retirement.  During his retirement, he served on the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation Board of Directors and the Central Florida Health Alliance Foundation Board of Directors.  He was a lifelong horseman and spent most of his life breeding and showing Arabian horses. Bob was also an avid member of the Marine Corps League and was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community, The Villages, FL. 

 

Robert is survived by his wife, Virginia Reardon and daughter, Maura Shearer and her husband Steven of Lady Lake, FL and sons, Robert F. Reardon III and his wife, Michelle of Port St. Lucie, FL and Paul J. Reardon and his wife Paige of Swedesboro, NJ.  He was the grandfather of Nicholas, Zachariah, Robert IV, Declan, Rylee, Cullen, Cade, Cole and Joseph.  He has 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and granddaughter, Sarah.

 

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Bob’s life will be scheduled at a later date. Once services are scheduled they will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church followed by interment in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
