Dustin Reno Phillips, 23, of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 in a car accident. He was born September 9, 1996 in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Dustin leaves behind his Mother, Brandy (Vizard) McDonald and his Step-Father, Michael McDonald, of Southbridge, MA, his brothers, Tyler Phillips and Jace Phillips, and his Father, Daren Phillips. Dustin also leaves behind, his cousin Corey Vizard and his wife, Mary Vizard, his Maternal Grandmother, Elizabeth Vizard, his Aunt Stephanie Hadley and her husband, Peter Hadley, Aunt Debra Ackley, his cousin Colton Ackley, his Grandparents, Glenn and Sharon McDonald, Step-Sister Adrianna Hubert and Step-Mother, Pamela Phillips. Dustin also leaves behind several Aunts, Uncle and cousins, most of all, his only niece, Savannah Phillips, who Dustin adored and loved deeply. Dustin is joining his maternal Grandfather, Stephen H. Vizard, along with his paternal Grandparents, Eldred and Thelma Phillips.
Dustin graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2015, with a degree in AutoCad, where he was a 4 year Varsity Soccer player. Dustin had a love and exceptional talent for soccer. He enjoyed adventures, road trips and hanging out at the beach with his best friend, Ebony Blash. His free spirit, love for life and for being who is was as a person, made him a light of life to so many who came to know him. His free spirit and contagious laugh will be forever in our hearts and memories.
A memorial service will be held at Bumpers in Belleview, FL on Friday, February 7, 2020 for all who wish to celebrate Dustin. Bumpers will have a moment of silence in celebration of Dustin’s memory.
A formal memorial service will also be held in Massachusetts at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ASPCA in Dustin’s name, in honor of his love for animals and his babies Bella and Bentley who he loved deeply. Online condolences may be sent at www.hiers-baxley.com.
