Obituary of Lawrence Charles Smith

Lawrence Charles Smith, 89, of Summerfield, Florida passed away January 28, 2020 at the Oakhurst Center, Ocala, FL.  He was the husband of Carma Smith for 32 years.

Larry was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  Prior to his retirement he worked as the Printing Supervisor for the Chicago Tribune.  He was a Veteran Pilot of the US Navy serving during the Korean War.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Carma Smith and son, Michael Colletti of Chicago, IL and daughters, Lenore Stevenson of Phoenix, AZ, Melanie Jackson and step-daughters: Deborah  Steadham of Morris, IL, Donna  Sieber of Cincinnati, OH, Sandra  Lieurance of Wheaton, IL, and Susan  Schuermann of Manhattan, IL. 

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, FL.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com
