Obituary of Judith Anne Slaughter Nutter

 

Judith Anne Slaughter Nutter, 80, returned to her heavenly home on October 10th, 2019, after marrying the love of her life, C. Armel Nutter, Jr., three weeks earlier.

Judy was born to Howard and Helen Heslop in Toronto, Ontario Canada and graduated from Burnhamthorpe Collegiate in Etobicoke in 1957. After graduating Judy pursued the field of nursing, became a homemaker and eventually worked in life insurance with her previous husband, C. Ronald Slaughter.  

Judy was active in her former husband’s high school alumni group, the Coral Gables Cavaliers, the University Club, the Welcome Desk at New Covenant United Methodist Church, Forty Days of Love Bible Group, The Atwell Ladies Group, The Wildwood Food Pantry and her dear friends at The Villages Pool.

Judy is survived by her loving husband C. Armel Nutter, Jr., her daughters Laura Bradley and Flint; her stepson Scott Slaughter and her sister and brother-in-law Pat and Gary Vipond, along with her many nieces and nephews in Ontario, Canada.

Judy and Armel married on September 14th and she was filled with joy at the prospect of beginning a new chapter in her life with her new husband and his siblings, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She died knowing great personal happiness and no lingering suffering.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages on Tuesday, October 15th at 10:30am. A reception will follow at the church. All are welcome and invited to attend and celebrate Judy’s life.
