Obituary of Dallace Leroy Meehan

Lt. Colonel Dallace L. Meehan, 81, of Lady Lake, Florida passed away April 11, 2019 at The Villages Hospice House, The Villages, Florida. He was the husband of Constance Meehan for 36 years.

 

Dallace was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a son of the late William and Eva Meehan. He retired as a Lt. Colonel from the U.S. Air Force where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He belonged to: The Retired Military Family Group of The Villages Founding Member; Retired Officers Association, Air Force Association; National Officers Association; Society of Friends of the Lady Lake Library; Professor of Military History of the American Military University.

 

Dallace is survived by his wife, Constance and daughter, Laura Hunter of Monterey, CA and son, David Meehan of Aurora, CO and step-daughter, Karlin Woltal of Corinth, TX.  He has 8 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

 

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with Military Honors performed by the Lady Lake American Legion Post 347.
