Robert Evanoski

Obituary of Robert P. Evanoski

Robert P. Evanoski, a playful, loving man and friend to many, resident of Spruce Creek South, died on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 82 years of age. He received excellent care at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa during his valiant effort to overcome a recent diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia.

Bob and Anita celebrated 60 years of marriage last June. They moved to Florida in 1998 after many years of raising a family, camping with dear friends and tending to his flowers in Bristol, Connecticut. He enjoyed his retirement after 40 years working at Superior Electric. Bob was known for his unbridled sense of humor and his boundless strength. His passions were gardening and bringing smiles to people’s faces and hearts. He loved joking with neighbors and strangers alike, bingo at the clubhouse, puzzle-making, and most of all helping others and being with family and friends.

Bob joins loved ones who went before him: his parents, two sisters, and three brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita; son and his wife, Steven and Debbie; daughter and her husband, Christine and Nick; granddaughter and her husband, Katelyn and Ryan; grandson, Brad; and expected great-grandson, Nolan – and his sisters, Margaret, Polly Ann, and Patricia, and brothers, Peter, Edward, and Joseph.
