Obituary of Ethel McMann

Ethel McMann, 101 years young, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019. Ethel was a native of Melvindale, Michigan and moved to this area from Dearborn Heights, MI in 1979. Ethel proudly served our country as a "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II and continued to support our armed forces.  Ethel will be remembered by many for her feisty and witty personality, her sense of humor, and her phenomenal cooking.

 Ethel is survived by her two daughters, June (Ronald) Lamont, Carol Gardner, both of Ocala, FL; two granddaughters, Ronnese Lamont, Ocala, FL, Kimberley Gardner, Ft. Myers, FL, three great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughan McMann.

 A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services in Ocala. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or ASPCA.
