Obituary of Angelina Rende

Angelina “Mama Lina” Rende, age 103, of The Villages, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born in Bari, Italy on January 10, 1916. Mrs. Rende was a homemaker and also worked some as a Nanny in Long Island and Brooklyn. She also worked as a school crossing guard. She was a member of St Timothy Catholic Church in Lady Lake. Mama Lina loved to walk, in Brooklyn to stores and in Florida around the neighborhood.

She is survived by daughters Anna Stattman and Theresa Deatkine; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and brother Peter Calabrese. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Rende who passed away in 1998.

A visitation will take place at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Sunday, February 3 and Monday, February 4 from 3-5pm. A funeral mass will take place at St Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, The Villages, FL on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 8:30 am. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, FL.
