Obituary of Mary K. Severance

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary K. Severance announces her passing after an extended illness, in her Ocala home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the age of 93 years. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of almost 63 years, Robert (Bob) in 2017. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Victoria Jane Moore, Elizabeth Ann Mullaney, and Mary Helen Tight. Mary will also be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren, Cari Ann Moore, Kevin Wayne Moore, Michael Wells Mullaney, Jacquelyn Marie Tight, and John Robert Tight, by sister-in-law Phyllis Jean Crisp, by brother-in-law James Davies Severance, and by sister-in-law Ava Ann Severance. In addition, there are numerous great grandchildren, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Mary was born in Arcadia, Florida in 1925 to Charles and Helen Kerley. She was a Guidance Counselor with the Broward County Public School system in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was a proud member of her PEO Sisterhood, Homosassa Springs Chapter, a member of the Pioneer Woman of Fort Lauderdale, and an active member of her church in both Homosassa Springs and in Ocala Florida.

Mrs. Severance will be interred with her husband Robert at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
